Keep calm and drink a coffee!

Hello : )

as you may already experience this time of the year is perfect to be cozy. Well, it has not been easy for me lately. I have a lot of exams to write so I was more focused on school than anything else. I did not only take a break from social media, but I also put my piano lessons on hold. This never happened to me before but there was no other solution. So well I planned to be more structured in 2018 and to be prepared for my blog. I would enjoy your feedback: On what day should I post?

To relax a little bit on these busy days I like to drink a coffee or hot chocolate. There are so many little stores that have amazing fair trade and vegan products. I love the variety of tastes and I always try new things. The picture above was shot in Weimar. The hot chocolate in “Goethes Schokolädchen” was simply the best. I remember the waitress saying something about Belgian chocolate. Whenever you are in Weimar you should go there and have a look at their products.

Another place in Weimar is Café S140 many students meet up there. It has a nice atmosphere inside and in summer you can enjoy your drink outside too. The students who work there volunteer they do not get money just free drinks when they want. Otherwise, the prices are really low so you can buy a chai tea for 1€ and coffee too.

As you all know I live in Leipzig. Many people I met asked me about all those small coffee shops here. I have to confess that I just now started to try out new places. It never really came to my mind before. Well for everyone who is interested in more coffee shops and restaurants in Leipzig keep tuned – I want to try more and make a better list with more recommendations. For now, if you visit Leipzig the “Café Luise” is close to the “Schauspielhaus” and it is often busy.

If you want to spend more time and maybe have breakfast you should try the “Moritzbastei” the coffee shop or restaurant is in the old city wall. They have many fun activities there for young and old. In summer you can enjoy live music and performances in the evenings.

In summer I also recommend the “Musikpavillon” it is placed in Johanna Park which is a place you have to visit when you are in Leipzig. When the weather is nice the grasslands will be filled with people. I like to go there and sit around the “Parkbühne” because you can easily listen to the artists who play inside and have a nice evening with friends. Another place right next to the “Parkbühne” is the “Glashaus” I wasn´t there for a long time but from what I remember it is a great place.

There are hundreds of other restaurants and coffee shops in Leipzig and I wish I can present you more next time. So stay updated.

Have a wonderful Christmas time and when you do not have a coffee shop near you, just make it your own. There is nothing better than a nice soap and a hot drink.

Thanks for reading!

xoxo Nike
